Blue Vertigo is an exhibition composed by 19 images published from the homonym book by Carlos Sargedas, which depicts through aerial photography the sea front between the Tejo and Sado estuary. Flying over the Sesimbra skies and others, we invite you to appreciate the astonishing view of the historical and natural patrimony of our region and at the same time getting to know a part of this Sesimbra's photographer work. The brightness and transparency of the sea, the impressiveness of the slopes, the density of the vegetation and the beauty of the monuments, seen from a different perspective is worthwhile knowing. Bon voyage!
The Costa Azul (Blue Coast), as if it were a pallete full of colours, bursts out throughout the year into a wide range of tonalities that make you feel as if you were inside a big art gallery were nature amuses itself while painting the most striking canvas l have ever seen. The brownish colours of the landscape, which turn into green then yellow and red, are framed, by the blue sky. Montain and sea are coloured an emerald green, as if a precious stone had been taken from Serra da Arrábida.
This little corner of the globe is certainly unique, and that is wath l attempted to capture whit my camera, to keep forever in my memory, and hopefully in yours!

Arnaldo José
Manuel Videira e Diamantina Carriço
João Pedro Marnoto, born in 1975 in Porto / Portugal, showed an early passion for photography and made his first course at the age of 14 years. He completes the academic training in the field of photography in the UK in the mid 90’s and, in its initial phase as a professional in 200,1 receives a scholarship from the Portuguese Centre for Photography to develop a personal project, an installation of photography & video titled "Piety vs. Charity - observation and reflection." Gradually he turned to the documentary, with his first book "The Fragas, Memory and the People" released in 2007 on the Alijó’s cultural and social heritage in the heart of the Douro valley.
In 2011 completed the project "Faith in Burros," photography and video project which aims to highlight the complicity of the human-animal relationship, with particular relevance to the donkeys, mules and males in the northeast of Portugal, concluding with the publication of Paper + a DVD and outdoor exposure (www.fenosburros.com).
If at first glance most of the images prove a past fading too obvious and an unquestionable relationship between man and animal and earth, at a second closer look we note that a sign of hope comes in yellow in a younger figure accompanied by its donkey.
In an adaptation to our times, representing new trends and practices in the use of this animal entered via rides in rural and sustainable tourism in a county so conducive to such activities.
So what’s intended is to enhance that same relationship between Man and Donkey, knowing that as as long this complicity is perpetuated, there is always hope for the survival of the specie that has always been part of our history and collective memory. And thus we continue to preserve and celebrate.

Vitor Cordeiro was born in Cadaval in 1953 and early showed an interest in photography. At eight years old receives from his uncles its first camera and in 1977 acquires a "reflex" camera, which uses frequently. In 1983 leaves to Macau where he carries on his business in Macao Electricity Company. Being Asia an area of interaction of different cultures, it gave him a vast and diverse image registration, leading him to further develop a taste for photography.
The theme chosen: "Cults, Temples, Ou Mun" came naturally, because of having a wide range of material available and also for the pleasure of sharing images that record moments of experiencing spirituality of other cultures, in this case during the Lunar New Year in Macao (Ou Mun) in the temples of A Ma and Kun Iam T'ong.
The images were recorded between 1992 and 1999 in black and white film, in the formats 135 mm and 6x6 cm and extended to the dimensions of 30x40 cm and 30x30 cm, respectively.
